LEARNING THE HARD WAY

About two weeks ago, a sister was praying and worshiping on Friday morning and suddenly she began to hear songs, she heard the words in the song but could not tell where the song was coming from. The words of the song  goes thus-

The trumpet is sounding 2x.
No one is hearing, no one is listening.
Christians are sleeping.
 Arise from your slumber.
We are engrossed and overwhelmed by the cares of this world and our need

In this season, God is calling us to awake and come to the place of sensitivity, awareness and great consciousness of the divine operations and moves. God is bringing his purposes to a glorious conclusion and his visitation in this time is imminent and prior to this, he must prepare us through his trumpet messages which represent divine truths and revelations sent from above to bring us into liberty and divine transformation into his image.
The  message above  is a lamentation about the Church of Christ and it reflects the true position of many as it portrays a hearts  heavy and loaded with the cares and the issues of this present world that is passing away. This is a scenario where the pre-occupation of  the gentiles has become the preoccupation of the believers and no one is looking for his appearing.  What shall we eat? What shall we put on? What shall we drink? How shall we be like others? When will I replaced my car and build my house?.
These are legitimate questions that bother the earth man and keep him incapable of ascending to the hill of the Lord and dwelling in his presence.  Men who are preoccupied with these things are soon cast down into the realm of worry, doubt and insecurity instead of soaring on the wings of faith, trusting always in the Lord.
It is true that the more we walk away from his presence, the more we walk in our self-confidence (not God confidence) and the more we fail and the more  our world is out of order.
They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in
darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.
I have said, Ye [are] gods; and all of you [are] children of the
most High.
But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.
  Psalm 82:5-7
Another disease we must come out from as highlighted in the song  is ‘Slumber” which is a state of insensitivity to the speaking’s and the moves of God. This is occasioned by the diet of carnal teachings and religious activities that flows into man’s heart from the river of Babylon. This wormwood activates the carnal dimensions and kills the spirit, thereby casting the new creation man into outer darkness and stupor. Many of these messages provoke greed; activate covetousness, envy and selfishness which blurred the revelations of God
To escape this, we must pursue the true revelation of Christ and discerningly avoid the Vomits of the vultures of Babylon who we in our carnal position sometimes see  as angels  of light
As penned by the psalmist, collapse, disorder, destruction is imminent to a people that turned away from the knowledge of God and whose ears are closed to the trumpets of God. A people that have develop blocked ears or itching ears will be confronted with decadence, confusion and death with their earth rolling to and fro like a drunken man as stated in the book of   Amos

Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I
will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a
thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:
And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the
north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the
word of the LORD, and shall not find [it. In that
day shall the fair virgins and young men faint for thirst.
Amos 8;11-14
,

The question in our hearth is now ‘ Men and Brethren, What then shall we do”

We must quit the rat race that leads to nowhere and seek divine compass that lead to life. We must learn to cast our cares on him and trust in his compassion and caring hand. We must set our desires and affection on heavenly things knowing fully well that the visible things of this earth are ephemeral and subject to decay. We must realize that the things falling apart, the storm that is rising higher and the control we appear to be losing are all  God’s way of getting our attention and they signify  God’s hand of mercy calling us to stop our journey towards nowhere and withdraw into our closet beyond the many voices of Babylon ( both religious and otherwise} to listen to his still small voice in the cool of the day and allow him to feed us with the hidden manna that we may live.
The distraction of this age as it is in the days of Noa must be confronted with strong courage , wisdom  and force if we are to press into the purposes of God and be among the overcomers.
